SOAS, University of London students are organising language-event IllumiNations where visitors can experience the diversity of language and culture through a range of interactive events and activities.
Aimed at children and families, visitors can immerse themselves in Bengali story-telling, watch a Chinese ensemble performance, discover the exotic flavours of Korean tea, get hands-on with Malaysian batik painting and hit the high notes in a global choir workshop.
Event organiser and SOAS student Andrew Thomson commented: “Children and families can participate and enjoy this unique experience. We promise to provide an engaging language and cultural experience at SOAS.”
The activities are aimed at primary and secondary school children who will be organised in groups on the day. The event is free to attend.
