This paper focuses on a special group of Taiwanese immigrant adolescents residing in China who have been educated in schools following the curriculum of their home country. By analyzing their experiences at these schools and life after graduation, we may know how this type of ‘overseas education’ affects the identity formation of these adolescents.

This workshop is inspired by recent scholarship that investigates the connections between new electronic media, traditional print media and the growth of religious, social and political constituencies, publics and communities.

- The Invasion of Iraq: Two Panel Discussions on Art and Politics
Part of Reel Iraq 2013 which marks 10 years since the US and UK led military invasion, against which the world mobilised in solidarity with the people of Iraq. Reel Iraq will explore the contribution of art, culture and creativity to Iraqi life in a time of conflict, with over 50 events taking place in London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Glasgow, Dumfries, Leeds, Derry/Londonderry, Newcastle and Stirling.
