ADD - GTA Training Module 1 5th - 7th November2012

Primary objectives include:

• Development of skills for managing tutorials and seminars
• Exploration of strategies to actively support student learning
• An introduction to the principles of student assessment and feedback
• Basic orientation on understanding diversity and student needs.

In addition the module will give participants the opportunity to discuss wider issues related to the role of GTA at SOAS and to meet and share experience with GTAs from other departments. This workshop is open to all PhD students at SOAS but places may be offered first to students who are already working as GTAs or who will begin teaching shortly.
