Introducing a new course
You must complete a course proposal form and submit it to your Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.

Changes to an existing course
There are different procedures for minor and major changes to a course, requiring different levels of approval. Both require the submission of a form to your Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee. Minor changes - to objectives, scope, work load or examination methods - can be submitted using the following form:
Major changes - to course title or unit value - require a course proposal form which can be found in the section above.

Withdrawing a course
The rationale for withdrawal should be determined by your Department, and requests should be submitted to your Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.
Student evaluation of a course
It is a formal requirement that student evaluations be obtained once a year for each course using a standard questionnaire. More frequent and less formal methods of obtaining feedback are also encouraged.

Portfolio Review
This is an annual review of the Department's portfolio of courses undertaken at the very beginning of the academic year. It is designed to determine the continued viability of courses for the following academic year.
