A quick guide: Faculty Level
Faculty committees
Faculty Learning and Teaching Committees (FLTCs) and Faculty Management Groups (FMGs) have key responsibilities in relation to many QA procedures, often at starting points (e.g. discussion of proposed new procedures) and end points (e.g. approval of a new course). Both bodies have a role in the approval of new programmes, but final decisions are made by central School committees.
Associate Deans
Associate Deans (Learning and Teaching) hold the main (though not the sole) responsibilities for QA within the faculties. They chair the FLTCs and are members of the relevant central School committees.

Faculty Office Staff
Faculty Administrators and their teams of staff provide direct support for both academic staff and students in relation to many aspects of the QA procedures. In particular, Team Leaders (Student Support) act as secretaries to the FLTCs and relate most directly with the detailed procedures.
