Finishes: 26 February 2013Time: 1:00 PM
Venue: Russell Square: College BuildingsRoom: 4418
Type of Event: Workshop
Series: Study Skills Workshops
This session addresses the most common problems encountered by students when preparing for, listening to and taking notes at lectures. It offers students strategies for getting the most out of lectures by improving their listening and note-taking skills.
Each week participants will have a mini-lecture (20 mins.) during which they will take notes. This is followed by discussion and analysis for which the lecturer will be present. All students are welcome.
There are four workshops in this series each presenting a lecture from a different discipline (International Relations, Economics, Art History and Law). Although registration is not required, we strongly recommend that students attend from the first session in order to get a comprehensive understanding of how to improve their listening and note-taking skills. With that in mind, please arrive on time to ensure your place and to avoid disrupting the session.
