Access Conferences are two day conferences for students on Access to Higher Education courses at SOAS' partner colleges. Our partner colleges are:
- City & Islington
- City of Westminster
- Kensington & Chelsea
- Tower Hamlets
- Westminster Kingsway
Each conference focuses on cross-curriculum intervention and sharing, with the aim of showing a clear transition into Higher Education, and supporting this transition. Over the course of the two days students spend time on campus, attend lectures, take part in study skills workshops, and work with current SOAS students.
As well as strengthening links between SOAS and its valued partners, the Access Conferences provide an insight into degree-level study, with comments from previous attendees including:
"I learnt about the level of learning at university"
"[I enjoyed] Sense of university, abundance of knowledge at hand within SOAS, excellence of speeches presented, number of lovely Student Ambassadors and their instinctive sharing of knowledge"
"I thought the lectures were very knowledgeable and passionate which made them easy to listen to"
"inspiration gained from spending time at SOAS"
