Step On Sixth Form and Year 11 Conference

The conference will provide students with valuable information about studying at university in general and at SOAS more specifically. There will be a focus on studying languages as a single honours degree or alongside another subject as a joint honours or as a module.
The program will include a talk from one of SOAS' leading linguists on the cognitive benefits of language learning. There will be also a talk on careers and languages delivered by SOAS Careers Service. Participants will be able to choose from a range of workshops on topics such as "How to get an A in languages"; the year abroad; choosing a university course. The day will finish with a round table of current undergraduate students.

Schools are welcome to bring up to 30 students.
