Widening Participation Student Ambassadors
There is no such thing as a 'typical SOAS Student Ambassador'!
Our ambassadors study a range of degrees and come from a variety of backgrounds: some may be the first in their family to go to University, others may be mature students, and so on. What unites all SOAS Student Ambassadors involved is that they are enthusiastic, committed, reliable, open-minded, and interested in working with young people. Each Ambassador plays their part in widening access to higher education.
What does an Ambassador do?
Student Ambassadors fulfill a variety of roles. Some ambassadors help to host school visits to SOAS, other ambassadors go into schools and deliver workshops and assemblies - the work of a SOAS Student Ambassador is truly varied.
