SOAS runs an extremely successful and thriving Distance Learning Programme as part of the University of London External Programme, which has been running for over 150 years. We have two Centres which offer a wide range of Masters Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas by Distance Learning, leading to a University of London degree – a qualification recognised throughout the world for its high standards.
The programmes are designed so that they give you a strong academic foundation that will underpin your professional skills. Our Distance Learning programmes are equal to the degrees taught at our London campus and are as highly regarded everywhere by employers and academic institutions.
The Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS)
The Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS) runs distance learning MSc degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas in the fields of finance, banking, finance and financial law, public management, public policy, public financial management, and international management. CeFiMS currently has 2,000 students in over 160 countries enrolled on its courses.

The Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP)
The Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP) provides Distance Learning MSc Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas in the fields of agricultural economics, environment and biodiversity, public policy and sustainability and development. CeDEP currently have 900 part-time students enrolled across the world.
