MSc in Environmental Management (CeDEP distance learning graduate)

My MSc is directly related to my job, being involved day- to-day in environmental management. It took quite a while to choose a course that I felt best fitted with my job, as well as career aspirations and I am delighted that it has all worked out.

Distance learning was most cost-effective. It allowed me to avoid residence fees for a campus stay. It also allowed me the flexibility to change my course load depending on my workload at the office. Flexibility was also gained from an online study environment which meant that I could cover course material at night which is my preferred time for studying.

I loved my chosen programme thoroughly. Some of the areas that I have been able to directly apply include environmental auditing, life cycle analysis, environmental impact assessment, environmental management systems e.g. ISO14001, environmental sociology and corporate environmental management. Another area that I look forward to influencing is the implementation of Strategic Environmental Assessment within my organisation.
