ELQ status
-
Will I be charged an ELQ fee?
The ELQ status applies to all HOME or EU fees students.
If you are classified as a Home/EU fee paying student and you have an UG,a Postgraduate Diploma or an Advanced or National Diploma you will not be liable for an ELQ fee, because your highest qualification is not at the same or at a higher level than the degree course you will be studying at the University.
If you are applying for Masters Studies and already have an equivalent or higher qualification (or expect to complete an equivalent or higher qualification while studying for a Master's degree at SOAS) you will be liable to pay ELQ fees. The existing ELQ fees for UK/EU are £1575, but this is subject to change.

I am EU national and have graduated with a MA equivalent in my home country. Does the ELQ policy apply to me?
Yes- All Home and EU students who already hold an equivalent or higher level qualification than their intended course of study will be deemed to fall under ELQ status.
