Our Postgraduate Open Evening gives you the opportunity to learn about our subjects and what’s it really like to study at SOAS. You will be able to have one-to-one discussions with academics, current students and staff from across student services.

Postgraduate Open Evenings activities include:

PG Open Evening

Why come to our Postgraduate Open Evening?

Our Postgraduate Open Evening is a great opportunity to find out more about the world-class teaching available at SOAS. We offer a wide range of Postgraduate degrees in arts, humanities, law, management, social sciences, languages and cultures.

SOAS produces world leading research in areas like Development Studies, Gender Studies, South East Asia and Middle Eastern Studies. Expect to see your lecturers name on many of the unique books and rare translations as your browsing though one of the world’s most important academic libraries.

You’ll also be right in the heart of London’s iconic Bloomsbury, just a short walk from the British Library and the British Museum. The Postgraduate Open Evening is the perfect opportunity to find out if SOAS is the place for you.

Campus tours

Campus tours are a great way to familiarise yourself with the SOAS campus and get a feel for the vibe here. Our student ambassadors run tours every half an hour from our Brunei Gallery’s front entrance. You’ll also get a chance to take a look around the SOAS library, one of the world’s most important academic libraries for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East, attracting scholars from all over the world.

Accommodation tours

SOAS offers great accommodation options for students, in and around the heart of London with prices and facilities to suit your needs. Join our student ambassadors on a tour through our Halls of Residence, Dinwiddy House. Tours will leave from outside the Brunei Gallery building every hour, on the hour, between 11am and 4pm.

Interested in exploring career options related to your Masters degree? Need help in planning the next steps in your career once you graduate? Our Careers team can help with these questions and more.

Our Careers team will be able to discuss your career options. Simply register your name when arrive at our Open Evening and we’ll arrange a one-to-one meeting with our Careers Advisors.

You will have your own unique booking reference and bar code. On the day we'll need both these things to register you.

After you've registered, we'll email you to let you know when your schedule is available to personalise. We'll also email you a copy of your unique bar code, transport information, things to see around London and more.
