There’s a vibe around the campus that relays a closeness, and acceptance. As diverse as her student body is, SOAS provides a common ground for all of us.

Study Abroad Student, China and Inner Asia

Coming from a small town in the States, I wondered how I’d adapt to being a Londoner even for a single year. The diversity of this city was a huge comfort to me; there are people from all over the world here making it work. SOAS has proven to be more than just a microcosm of this incredible city. There’s a vibe around the campus that relays a closeness, and acceptance. As diverse as her student body is, SOAS provides a common ground for all of us. We’re passionate about our studies (which is a good thing… it can get a bit challenging I hear) and we’re eager to learn.

Here at SOAS, I can more than learn about China. I can embrace its culture through speaking with Faculty and staff who are as animated with politics as I am. Every day is exciting, challenging, and absolutely refreshing!
