What has been the best thing about my time here? Everything. The course, the societies, the people. It’s sometimes hard to believe that it’s such a small university when you see how active all of the societies are. There’s always something to do, and the vibrancy and energy we have at SOAS both matches and is a testament to its prime location in London.

BA Social Anthropology

I decided to come to SOAS after visiting on an open day – I loved the atmosphere, the students and the overall impression it gave off. I guess you could say it was love at first sight!

SOAS was truly unlike any university I’d seen before. The atmosphere was much friendlier and relaxed (though the rankings demonstrate that the students still manage to achieve!). The Student Ambassadors who took the tours were very honest in their opinions, which was refreshing and inspiring.

The thing I’ve loved most about my course is that the lecturers’ experiences are very eye-opening, which helps put everything into perspective for the students.
