I had studied in an international school in India that focused a lot on extracurricular activities, and going to SOAS seemed like a natural continuation of my studies.

BA Arabic and Development Studies

When I first heard of SOAS I thought it sounded like the perfect place to study. I only applied to SOAS as it was the only university I wanted to go to. I had studied in an international school in India that focused a lot on extracurricular activities, and going to SOAS seemed like a natural continuation of my studies.

I had heard from fellow students that SOAS was a great place to study and I knew very clearly that I wanted to do Development Studies and Arabic. I’d also heard that it was the best place to study these subjects, not only because of the academics but because of the very active student union which I’ve discovered offers a great platform for students to get engaged in activities, adding to the experience and knowledge of the courses they are studying.

The atmosphere at SOAS is incredibly stimulating, and learning in an environment with such a diverse group of engaged students has really made for a very unique learning experience.
