As such we have a broad geographical scope for content, looking at everything from the emergence of the "Bric" economies and China's relationship with Africa, to the reforming of international economic and political institutions.

The job involves regular international travel, including attending high profile events and summits such as the Woorld Economic Forum's meeting on Africa, the UN's climate change negotiations, the IMF/World Bank annual meetings etc. It also offers unparalleled access to the most influential people from the world of business and politics. This includes the heads of international organisations such as the UN, heads of state and business leaders.

A few examples include:
Ban Ki-Moon, Kofi Annan, Paul Kagame, Olusegun Obasanjo, Mo Ibrahim, Jeffrey Sachs, Paul Collier, Andrew Mitchell, Jean Ping, Alassane Ouattara, Justin Lin,
