What is required for a successful academic career? The most obvious factors are the ability to carry out good research and to teach, but there are many others that are less obvious. These can often only be discovered by hearing from people who are engaged with the profession. This whole-day event will include sessions with academics from SOAS and elsewhere, information on funding and other issues. A programme for the day will be issued closer to the event.
