Academics are increasingly required to demonstrate how their research has impact beyond the academic environment.  Activities that contribute to research impact will form part of the assessment criteria for the Research Excellence Framework and for gaining research funding from many sources.  They can also be used as a way of investigating career options and gaining skills beyond those required for research that are useful in academia and beyond. This workshop will investigate what is counted as impact, what kind of opportunities might be available to you and how you can use these opportunities to greatest advantage.
