Speakers

Tristan Edmondson, Consultant (Ethical Supply Chains in Asia), Carnstone Partners
Tristan works on improving the environmental and social impacts of Asian supply chains, with a focus on China. He has developed practical projects for immediate improvement, such as environmental scoring and training for factories, but also long term strategies for international brands to rethink the way they engage with supply chains for sustainability. He developed the Textile Industry Sustainability Platform (TISP), a multi-brand collaboration to help the Chinese textile industry understand how to save money and reduce risk. Previously Tristan worked in China's clean tech industry in Beijing and speaks Mandarin Chinese. Tristan completed an MA Chinese Studies at SOAS in 2006.

Roisin Murphy, Senior Manager CSR, KPMG
A Senior Corporate Sustainability and International Development Professional with around 10 years of experience including Corporate Sustainability strategy development the execution of large corporate sustainability integration programmes.

Karen Klomp, Energy Strategy Consultant, London Borough of Lambeth
After receiving her master’s degree in Science & Innovation Management (specialisation: Sustainable Energy) at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, Karen worked in the building physics department of Dutch multi-national consulting engineer DHV. After one year she joined Ecofys, a consultancy in sustainable energy, energy efficiency and climate policy, as consultant Sustainable Buildings – first in the Utrecht office, and then in London. At Ecofys she specialised in working with architects, developers and local authorities to create a more sustainable built environment.

In 2011 Karen joined the London Borough of Lambeth to work on Energy Strategy, charged with reducing fuel poverty in the borough by increasing energy efficiency in residents’ homes and raising awareness  of fuel poverty among the many stakeholders within and outside the council.
