An opportunity for students interested in pursuing ethical careers to meet and network with SOAS Alumni who are working in charities, CSR, sustainability, climate change, education, health and social enterprise amongst others. A number of alumni will speak at the event, as well as joining students for a drinks reception afterwards. This is an excellent opportunity to make contacts and find out further information about ways into this competitive sector.
The alumni attending the event work in a variety of organisations, including UNICEF, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Local Councils, Amnesty International, AfghanAid, Restless Development, the Challenge Network, the Citizenship Foundation and the British Embassy in Brussels. A breadth of roles are represented: from social work and domestic violence workers through to social investment consultants, social enterprise founders, researchers, fundraisers, communications specialists and ethical fashion designers.
Places are limited – to secure your place you need to come to the Careers Service in G12 with a £5 refundable deposit (this will be returned to you when you arrive at the networking reception).
Places are open to all SOAS students or GradClub members.
