Mark Trevelyan has reported for Reuters from nearly 40 countries over 25 years, with postings in Brussels, Warsaw, Moscow, Berlin and Wellington, New Zealand. He has a special interest in the former Soviet Union, where he worked from 1991 to 1994, and in the areas of terrorism and counter-terrorism, which he covered for five years. He also has considerable experience as a news editor. 

While mainly a writer, Mark also worked for Reuters television and appeared at various times on Sky News, GMTV, CNN, TVNZ and Times Now (India). He has written chapters for books on 9/11 and Iraq, and lectured to NATO soldiers and international counter-terrorism practitioners on Terrorism and the Media.
