Administration

The administration of the Centre is handled by a Chairperson, elected from the Centre members, whose term of office runs for four years. The CAS office is supported by a Centre Manager and a part-time Executive Officer available to deal with queries on Monday to Friday between 10am-3pm. The Chairperson is assisted by a Management Committee, representative of the disciplines and institutions which constitute the Centre, and an Annual General Meeting is held for all Centre members. Subcommittees of the Centre are constituted to oversee special initiatives, for instance our schemes for visiting scholars, the Africa Business Group and organisation of large conferences.
