The oldest relations to the first human beings are still living today in central and east Africa. There is strong suggestion that the Ancient Egyptians were descended from this civilisation. London-based cultural researcher and writer Felicity Heywood travelled to Uganda earlier this year to hear and record some of their stories. Come and hear her reports of the Batwa, a people who are landless, and trying hard to keep their original culture alive amidst external pressure to conform.
