Cycle Africa

Cycle Africa is an unsupported journey by bike from London, England to Cape Town, South Africa. The route will take the team through nearly 30 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a distance of over 12,000 miles. The team will leave from Trafalgar Square in London on 7 August 2011 and will arrive 12 months later in Cape Town; travelling over two and a bit continents, through deserts, over mountains, at a pace that allows us to truly experience the countries and meet people along the way.

Cycle Africa is also a journey with a purpose; our aim is to make a positive difference in the lives of street children in the countries along the route. In Partnership with some of the leading street children charities, Cycle Africa is bringing the real and the positive stories of children who are surviving on the streets into the spotlight. We are raising money so more of these children can be helped off the streets into brighter futures. Finally, we are finding advocacy opportunities for our charity partners to inform policy and decision-making at a higher level.
