Applying online
Applying online is easy. The online application form is made available at www.soas.ac.uk/cedep from August. It is important that you submit your application as early as possible and provide scanned copies of the required supporting documentation at the same time.
When you have submitted your online application you will first receive an automatic response, followed later by an email acknowledgement from CeDEP. If you have not received the acknowledgement from CeDEP within 10 working days, please contact Gwyn Davies to ensure your application has been received.
Paper application form
An application form is provided at the back of this prospectus. Complete this form and send it by post or courier to our Wye office address listed at the end of the form. Please be sure to include copies of the required documentation.
Supporting documentation
Whether you apply online or post a paper copy of the form, your application will need to be accompanied by the following documentation:
- An original or certified* copy of your university transcript(s) and/or degree certificate(s). The transcript is a document from your university that records all the courses that you studied, the grades that you obtained and your final degree result. If you are having certified copies made, please ensure that you include any explanation of grades that may be printed on the reverse of the original.
- A photocopy of a statutory identification document such as a passport, or a birth or marriage certificate
- A 500-word personal statement. This should outline your reasons for wanting to study with CeDEP, and include relevant details of your previous education and work experience, as well as your current occupational responsibilities.
- IELTS or TOEFL certificate where English is a second language.
All supporting documentation must be in English. If it is necessary for documents to be translated, please send a certified copy of the original document with a certified translation.
