Food Policy is 'top' journal in the field of Agricultural Economics

The latest (2009) journal impact factors were published by Thomson Reuters in June and saw Food Policy, edited by CeDEP staff, rise to 1.606 confirming Food Policy's position (in impact factor terms) as the top agricultural economics journal).  Read the full article for details on the Journal Impact Factor.

Mobile phones and African Agricultural markets

At the end of June, CeDEP’s Research Fellow, Colin Poulton attended the mid-term workshop of the e-ARN research project in Cotonou, Benin. e-ARN is a 6 country comparative project that aims to understand the impact of increasing ICT use (especially mobile phones) on the performance of African agricultural markets. Colin is a member of the external advisory panel for the project.
