Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP)

Teaching Quality

In 2005, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the United Kingdom carried out a full quality assessment on the University of London International Programmes, awarding an excellent grading.

Within this context, CeDEP places very high priority on maintaining and improving the quality of its programmes – both in terms of the preparation and delivery of up-to-date academic content, as well as the provision of reliable and useful tutorial and CeDEP staff support for our students.

With an annual programme review with SOAS, relevant educational research, and regular student feedback, we are continually reviewing and improving upon the resources available to our distance learners.

Some of our team members are also Fellows of the University of London Centre for Distance Education which gives access to a community of practice with a wide range of experience in distance education.

Bologna Compatibility

Our programmes are being made consistent with the Bologna Process which is an intergovernmental initiative aiming to create a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) by 2010, and to promote the European system of higher education worldwide. CeDEP will adopt the Bologna-compliant UK credit system when it is finalised.
