Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP)

What is CeDEP?

The Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP) undertakes research and postgraduate teaching in the fields of agricultural economics, managing rural development, environmental economics and management, poverty reduction, and sustainability and development.

CeDEP is part of the School of Oriental and African Studies, one of the University of London’s lead colleges, which has an international reputation for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to international studies.

We offer postgraduate Distance Learning programmes as part of the University of London’s International Programmes. The global community of University of London International Programme students, of which CeDEP is proud to be a part, is a unique network of 41,000 students in 180 countries.

Our programmes have been running for 20 years. Initially they drew upon the expertise of Wye College and later Imperial College. Now a part of SOAS, we continue to build on our experience and expertise to maintain and develop new and innovative programmes.  Our subject range is unique and we have a strong reputation for research and innovation in the use of technology to support Distance Learning.
