Biography

Sue Guiney, Writer-in-Residence in the SE Asia Department, will discuss her latest novel, A Clash of Innocents,  and how she has used it both to raise awareness within the West about modern Cambodian life, as well as to work for change among the street children of Siem Reap.

Through Asian sales of her novel, Sue has founded a Writing Workshop/Literacy Program within the educational shelter, Anjali House. Along with readings from her book, Sue will present a model for how an individual’s own artistic ventures can be  adopted to affect grass roots change.
