Overview

This programme is taught in collaboration with the Department of Management at Birkbeck College, University of London. What distinguishes this course from other management degrees is SOAS’ expertise in Africa and Asia.

The range of research interests, expertise and resources in SOAS with regard to languages, histories and cultures of other regions is unique in UK institutions and this gives you an unparalleled range of options from which to select your second subject of study.

Although the BA Management and a language is taught jointly by Birkbeck College and SOAS, applications should be made to SOAS only, and applications will be dealt with by the admissions tutor for the language chosen.

Although students interested in the two-subject degrees with management apply through SOAS, they are advised to consult Birkbeck’s general prospectus and the Department of Management Handbook.

A new course, Introduction to Management in Asia, is now taught at SOAS.

Management can be combined with the following subjects:

3- or 4- year degree
Burmese, Hindi, Indonesian, Nepali, Thai, Vietnamese

4- year combined degrees
Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, Hausa, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Swahili, Turkish
