Professional Practice Seminar Series

In this seminar series, we invite people engaging in policy-making and practical action on world issues to share their experiences and insights in an informal environment. Common themes include conflict and humanitarian affairs, labour issues, migration, environment, poverty, inequality, aid and development. Speakers are encouraged to present the work that they do, and reflect critically about the challenges they encounter.

The audience is mainly SOAS students and staff, but entrance is free and open to the public. No need to register in advance, you can just turn up. For further information, please contact convenor Dr Richard Axelby (
