MPhil Training Day

This short training day is designed for all MPhil students new to SOAS - you can download the full programme on the right-hand side. The aim is to provide information and discuss key issues related to the following topics:

• Managing Your Supervisor: Advice on how to develop a productive relationship with your supervisor
• Preparing for Fieldwork: Practical tips on planning your fieldwork
• Research Ethics: Essential information on research ethics and the SOAS ethical review procedure
• Managing Your PhD in the Field: Panel discussion with senior research students about their experiences and 'lessons' learnt
• Life after a PhD: advice on developing a future career trajectory
• SOAS E-Resources: An overview of electronic databases and reference management packages at your disposal
  

A reception will be held from 5pm onwards which attendees are welcome to attend.
