Another successful year for the SOAS Academic Summer School

The SOAS Academic Summer School 2014 built on the success of last year and doubled student figures. This year's intake of students attended nine courses, covering areas such as development, politics, migration, Jawi, culture and society, law and Arabic.

SOAS Professor receives award for best multi-authored book on African Arts

Richard Fardon, Professor of West African Anthropology and Head of the Doctoral School at SOAS, University of London, has shared the Triennial Award for the best multi-authored book on African Arts published between 2011 and 2013 from the Arts Council of the African Studies Association.

There are 48 fieldwork awards of up to £779 available in 2013/14 available to provide financial support for SOAS postgraduate research students undertaking approved PhD fieldwork abroad.

Doctoral Training Workshop on Europeanisation

Forthcoming doctoral training workshop at the University of Kent. Places are available for doctoral researchers at Centre for East European Language-Based Area Studies (CEELBAS) universities and accommodation and travel costs will be partially refunded.
