Short Courses
Created around themes that are of global interest and delivered on an open programme basis, SOAS holds a number of specialist programmes throughout the year. Attracting some of the most influential academics and leading practitioners, delegates will have the opportunity to engage with the latest thinking on highly topical issues.
Programmes run include:
- The Governance and Leadership in Africa programme provides a unique opportunity for participants to discuss and develop their knowledge of topical issues affecting the African continent.
- Muslim Britain is a wide-ranging and informative three days focusing on the perceptions and realities of Muslims in Britain, including analysis of successive migrations, specific debates and public perceptions and policy.
- Political Islam enables participants to better understand the various components of Islamism, their contemporary political significance at the global, regional, national and sub national levels, and the likely future directions for the movement in those contexts.
