Community Engagement

SOAS is keen to involve staff and students wherever possible in the improvement of the environmental performance of the college.

On 7 February the Bloomsbury Colleges are opening a competition to encourage staff and student involvement by designing a logo to be used for the environmental awareness campaign. This logo would then be used on communications for the campaign across the Bloomsbury Colleges and on the websites.

The winner will be chosen by the Energy Management Group to have their design used to establish the final logo and to receive the prize of £50 to spend at the Cycle Surgery on Great Portland Street.

The Environmental Manager said ‘this logo is a really important part of the awareness raising as it should be identifiable across all of the Bloomsbury Colleges to ensure that staff and students are aware of the environmental message’.

In addition to the competition to design the logo, involvement is also welcomed on an ongoing basis, and staff and students are asked to make suggestions for projects or initiative that they feel the school should be addressing. This can be done during Green Week or by emailing greenthing@bloomsbury.ac.uk at any time.
