Sustainable Food Events, Green Week, 7-14 February 2011
Get ready for a number of events highlighting the School's commitment to sustainable food during Green Week (7-14 February 2011).
On Monday 7 February 2011 we have a Meat Free Monday in the main SOAS refectory at Russell Square using guidelines from People and Planet (http://peopleandplanet.org/gogreenweek/activities/meat-free-monday).
On Wednesday 9 February 2011 we have a tasting of 4 Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fish dishes in the Russell Restaurant from 1200-1400.
Come and find out about SOAS' work as Champions of London's bid to become the world's first Sustainable Fish City (http://www.sustainweb.org/sustainablefishcity/).
Similar events are taking place in neighbouring institutions in conjunction with Sodexo Education, who recently became the first contract caterer to obtain MSC Chain of Custody Accreditation, and some of our respective Students' Unions.

- Monday 7 February 2011 (lunch service): Meat Free Monday at SOAS SU Shops, Russell Square and Vernon Square.

- Monday 7 February 2011 (lunch service): Meat Free Monday in the Lawton Room, Level 6.
- Friday 11 February 2011 (1200-1400): Tasting of 4 Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) fish dishes in the Quiet Room, Level 6.
- All week: Highlighted MSC fish products daily on the menu in the Lawton Room, Level 6.
IOE Students Union
- Monday 7 February 2011 (lunch service): Meat Free Monday in the SU Refectory adjacent to SU Bar.
- All week: Highlighted MSC fish products daily on the menu and viewing of MSC video on plasma screens in the SU Refectory adjacent to SU Bar.
