For the first time, undergraduate students will be able to study a degree in global cinema in the heart of London, thanks to an innovative new course offered by Birkbeck, University of London and SOAS, University of London. The two prestigious London institutions are bringing their expertise together to offer a programme of study that is truly global in its approach.

Tongues on Fire, the annual Asian film festival celebrating women in film and Asian Circle, a network of professional women that work to support vulnerable Asian women in South Asia have come together to mark this year’s International Women’s Day with a special screening of Gurinder Chadha’s highly acclaimed debut film ‘Bhaji on the Beach’.
