Professor Dianne Otto (Melbourne Law School), Professor Karen Engle (University of Texas at Austin Law School), Dr Gina Heathcote (Centre for Gender Studies, SOAS, University of London), Felicity Ruby (WILPF), Chloe Lewis (Oxford) and Dr Roisin Burke (National University of Galway) discuss contemporary peacekeeping initiatives and the future of gender equality and collective security.

What requires rethinking about peacekeeping and collective security? What is the UN Security Council's interest in promoting gender equality? What have women's peace advocates learned from their interactions with the Security Council? What has been the experience of those in post-conflict communities of the Security Council's Women, Peace and Security agenda? What are the effects of focussing this agenda for change on 'women'? What motivates us to be involved in this area of research and activism?

To attend, please contact: Dr Gina Heathcote as spaces are limited. The Round Table discussion will be followed by a Book Launch.
