Please can you provide a list of all people given honorary degrees or doctorates by your university in the last five years.
Response
Please see the below figures which relate solely to the costs incurred directly from awarding honorary degrees. They do not include the wider costs of the School's main graduation ceremonies which are attended by the honorary graduates as they are also for our graduating students and would happen regardless of the attendance of honorary awardees. Apart from Stephen Green, for whom a separate reception was organised, the costs indicated for receptions have been calculated based on the proportion of the total cost of the reception related to the honorary graduate. Details of each honorary graduate can be found at http://www.soas.ac.uk/about/fellows/
