Can you tell me whether, for any or all of your undergraduate courses, you ever have a term (ie the summer) in any year or years in which there is no scheduled face-to-face/contact teaching in your timetable?
At SOAS a ‘course’ is a subject on a ‘programme of study’. For example 151801001 Introduction to Social Anthropology is a ‘course’ on the ‘programme of study’ BA Social Anthropology. Many courses will take place over only one term. We have assumed that your question relates to undergraduate programmes.
In one academic year the first two terms each consist of ten weeks of teaching; the final term is made up of two weeks of teaching - including revision classes - followed by exams. Therefore there are no undergraduate programmes in which no face-to-face contact is scheduled.
