Speaker Biography
Konrad Lawson is a Max Weber postdoctoral fellow at the European University Institute. He just completed his PhD in the History Department at Harvard University with his dissertation, "Wartime Atrocities and the Politics of Treason in the Ruins of the Japanese Empire, 1937-1953." He is now working on a book manuscript which explores the relationship between war crimes and treason in the aftermath of Japanese empire in Korea, China, and Southeast Asia.
