Lower Intermediate Japanese I
A one-year upper beginners course for learners of spoken and written Japanese, at SOAS Language Centre in London

This is a one-year course with three terms of ten weeks.

Description
The course aims to teach Japanese to learners who have completed the beginners levels of spoken Japanese with the knowledge of approximately 150 kanji, and to further develop communicative skills in a wide range of contexts.
Method
The course is taught in English and Japanese and includes coverage of the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing and a balance between communicative activities, structure practice and grammar. Class size is limited to fifteen to allow close involvement.

Timetable
Classes will be held at the Bloomsbury or Kings Cross Campus of SOAS in central London on one evening a week or Saturday daytime. Participants receive 20 hours of language tuition over a ten-week period (with additional weeks where public holidays displace a class session). For dates and times see our timetable pages.
