Stephen Brown is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Ottowa, Canada.  His research interests include foreign aid, African politics and political violence.  In this talk, he will present his preliminary findings from his latest field research in Kenya regarding the role Western aid donors have played in attempts to achieve accountability for the 2007-08 post-election violence and prevent future recurrence.
