Occasional Study is suited for those who have already obtained their LLM but wish to refresh their knowledge or explore a new field without having to study for a full degree. Occasional students take one or two LLM subjects during one academic session and join other postgraduate students in class. Occasional study status is also ideal for American students who wish to study in the UK and transfer the credits back to their JD. Such students can study for a term or more and the Department has significant experience in terms of helping to satisfy the requirements of US Universities and the American Bar Association. The Department of Law runs a successful exchange programme with the University of Connecticut and Hastings College.
