Archives and Special Collections Events & Exhibitions
Archives & Special Collections organises regular events and exhibitions aimed at raising awareness of the value and diversity of our rich and unique collections.
We hold a regular Archives & Special Collections Open Day, displaying a showcase of our material and offering staff and students an opportunity to participate in a behind-the-scenes tour of the archive and discover how our collections are stored.
A selection of notable material from our collections is on permanent display as part of the Objects of Instruction: Treasures of SOAS exhibition at the Foyle Special Collections Gallery, Brunei Gallery, SOAS, which plays a vital part in teaching and cultural engagement programmes at SOAS.
We also hold frequent displays of material from our collections on particular themes or subjects; as well as regularly contributing archives, manuscripts and rare books towards national and international exhibitions.
