Do you need data for your history project? Information on energy prices for your Economics coursework? Or even life expectancy data for your Development Studies dissertation? ESDS International is a specialist data service of the ESRC's Economic and Social Data Service and provides online access to the major databanks produced by international governmental organisations such as the World Bank, IMF and United Nations. It also provides access to international surveys such as the World Values Survey.

This one hour seminar provides an overview of the structure, content and research potential of the databases you can access through the service and will include a demonstration of the web interfaces used to explore, subset and download the data. The seminar will be led by Richard Wiseman of the University of Manchester.

The presentation is open to all and free to attend, but you will need to register at http://soaslibraryesds.eventbrite.co.uk to confirm your place.
