From the British Library’s Archival Sound Recordings, this collection has over 250 hours of radio programmes broadcast in the 1960s about African literary, social and cultural affairs. This website is a collaborative effort of the Community Video Education Trust and the South African Film and Video Project. David Rycroft Africa recordings
Rycroft visited villages, townships and settlements around South Africa between the 1960s and 1980s. He focussed on unaccompanied choral singing, songs composed for indigenous musical instruments, and urban music. Requires an SOAS id and password to access the recordings.

South African Elections 2009 Web Dossier
The dossier contains a selection of titles from the African Studies Centre library's catalogue.
