Haikai Database (English) (Japanese)

Available from the Nichibunken Databases. Contains the major haiku collections, including Basho and Buson.

Renga Database (English) (Japanese)

Available from the Nichibunken Databases. Contains all renga collections, composed before the Eiroku era (up to the death of renga poet Soyo) and the major works until the Bakumatsu period.

Waka Database (English) (Japanese)

Available from the Nichibunken Databases. Contains all twenty-one Imperial anthologies, the Manyoshu, Hubokuwakashu and other major individual waka collections.

Japanese Text Initiative

Full texts of classical Japanese literature in Japanese characters. Contains Manyoshu, Genji monogatari, Kabuki plays, Dazaifs fictions and many more. Some works are accompanied by Romanized text. The primary audience is English-speaking scholars and students. Created by the University of Virginia Library Electronic Text Center and the University of Pittsburgh East Asian Library.

Shinto Text Initiative

Research on Shinto.
