South Asian Film and Cinema Studies
Here is a selection of websites relating to South Asian cinema and film studies.
We have interpreted South Asian cinema in the broadest sense, to include not only Bombay/Mumbai-based Bollywood and other popular cinemas of South Asia (such as Lahore-based Lollywood), but also fringe and art-house cinema, shorts and documentaries.
We have also included all genre of films made outside of South Asia by South Asian or South Asia diasporic writers, filmmakers, producers and directors.
Although the industry and the resources on the Web are dominated by India, we have included information, where available, about film and cinema in other countries of South Asia.
South Asian Cinema (SACF)
This web resource is run by the South Asian Cinema Foundation (SACF), London . The SACF also publishes a journal and organises cinema lead events.
A bibliography/cinematography of films directed by both filmmakers in and outside South Asia. It includes documentary shorts, dramas and feature films.
BFI guide to South Asian Cinema
The BFI guide includes a complete introduction to Indian cinema, fifty essential South Asian films and information on contemporary South Asian cinema.

International Indian Film Academy (IIFA)
